HomeClinical Educators CPD Course

Confident mentors create
confident graduates.

A continuing professional development course designed specifically for dental practitioners involved in student supervision: online, evidence-based, and built by people who’ve lived it.

01Why this course exists

Are you currently supervising oral health or dental students during clinical placements in universities, public dental clinics, Residential Aged Care Facilities, or other community dental settings?

Do you sometimes feel underprepared or lacking in confidence when it comes to teaching or mentoring? You’re not alone. Recent research shows that many clinical supervisors experience these same concerns.1,2,3

As a clinical educator and mentor, your role is vital. You bring knowledge, skills, and real-world experience that help shape the next generation of dental professionals. But mentorship involves more than clinical expertise. It requires an understanding of educational methods, learning styles, and how to effectively support and guide students through their development.

We understand this deeply, because we’ve lived it. Our team has been involved in all aspects of the educational journey: mentoring students, designing and delivering oral health curricula, leading accreditation processes, teaching both theory and clinical practice, and working within collaborative teams to support both learners and fellow educators.

Clinical education is a shared journey built on strong mentorship and mutual growth. When clinical educators feel confident and supported in their mentoring role, students thrive. And when students thrive, they graduate as safe, capable, and competent professionals.
