PowerPoint Presentation

Your assessment this week is a PowerPoint presentation complete with the headings explaining what is required, this includes some assessment questions. Please use the materials and information you have received over the last few weeks in the lectures to provide your answers. Remember the lectures are recorded for you to access and the resource folder is also available.
Add graphics, pictures etc to present the PowerPoint in your own style/design. Keep the slide information simple, use dot points or short sentences on the slides.
You are then required to record yourself presenting the slides and this is where you will be able to use more extensive information to expand on what you have written on your slides. Use the slide information as a prompt or points to highlight what you are actually going to say.
This should be an enjoyable task, have a bit of creative fun in designing your own
PowerPoint presentation and enjoy the recording aspect of having your voice deliver the information.
The marking rubric is also provided for you so that it is clear what is required to achieve your grade.

Good luck with this third assessment task.

Reflective statement

What do you need to do?

You are required to submit a 500-word reflective statement as the assessment task
for this week. Please read through the assessment instructions provided and use the headings to help you write your reflection.

Reflective Practice is a methodology that uses experiences and insights from the
past to influence how we will improve in the present and the future.
The Gibbs’ reflective cycle (1) inspires by Kolb’s learning cycle (2) helps us to focus on our feelings, views and perceptions and the feelings, views and perceptions
experienced by others. This process is a cycle that contains a number of elements.

They are:
1. What happened? – the description
2. What were you thinking and feeling? – the feelings
3. What was good and not so good and this experience? – the evaluation
4. What sense can you make of the situation? – the analysis
5. What could you have done or what else could you have done differently? –
The conclusion
6. What would you do now if this same situation arose? – the action plan

The question is:

Using an event or experience from your own life, describe an event/experience
involving student clinical teaching that you have had to managed. (If you don’t
yet have any student teaching experiences, fabricate an event to reflect
on).

Headings have been provided for you in the instructions. Using this information and
information you have received from week 1 and week 2. Write your reflective
statement explaining how you would manage this situation now. Would you do
anything differently?

Remember this is all your own words, your event/experience, your narrative.
